The seminar, part of CCMG’s Garden Gate educational series, is free but requires registration at the University of Missouri Extension office in Ozark, 581-3558. Refreshments will be served.

The seminar will feature CCMG members speaking on:

  • What vegetables and when to plant – Margie Wakefield
  • What flowers and when to plant – Colleen McMahan
  • Where to plant (sun vs. shade, containers vs. raised beds or in ground) – Patty and Dennis Baker
  • Tools and where to get them – David McCurdy
  • Supplies and where to get them – Virginia Roberts
  • Soil testing and enhancements – Karen Bell
  • Watering – Gary Jenks
  • Weeding – Debbie Clithero
  • Pest control – Jennifer Ailor

Attendees will receive University of Missouri Extension guide sheets and other handouts, as well as information about becoming a Master Gardener and about our gardening hotline, which operates mid-March through mid-October at the Extension office on the square in Ozark. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the speakers in the second half of the seminar.
