What Do You Know About Poverty in Missouri?
4b. Missouri employers must pay at least the:

Incorrect

Employers must pay the higher of the two. Currently, the Missouri minimum wage is $7.05 per hour. The federal minimum wage increased from $6.55 per hour to $7.25 per hour in July 2009. Because it now exceeds Missouri's minimum wage, employers are obligated to pay $7.25 per hour (the higher of the two wages).

The Missouri minimum wage will adjust for inflation on January 1, 2010. If it then exceeds the Federal rate of $7.25 per hour, the Missouri minimum wage will once again apply.
