Medicare

The Medicare Program is the largest American health insurance program. It covers people who are 65 years and older, people who are disabled, and people with permanent kidney failure. There are two different parts to Medicare: Part A and Part B. 
 

Part A covers inpatient hospital services, skilled nursing facilities, home health services and hospice care. Part B, for which the recipient may be charged a fee, helps pay for the cost of physician services, outpatient hospital services, medical equipment and supplies and other health services and supplies.
