Build on Your Strengths

Peter Drucker, the prominent management consultant now in his 80's continues to come up with bold, innovative advice. He encourages individuals to think hard about the skills they use to perform at a high level.

The goal is to find a way to identify what you do best and how to excel at a high level. It is important to track your actions in some way to measure results and improve your performance. This awareness enables you to:

  • Match your strengths to new tasks. You can be flexible about shifting to new activities as you get older and the world changes.
  • Put yourself into situations in which your strengths are most likely to produce superior performance and results.
  • Develop the ability to recognize specific strengths in people both at work and in your personal life.
