B.R.E.A.D. for Stress Management

In 1990, the Institute for Stress Management introduced its five step formula, BREAD. Breathe Correctly, Relax daily, Exercise aerobically, have a positive Attitude and eat a healthy Diet.

Over the past 8 years, medical and psychological research has discovered new relationships and important factors in managing stress. It now contains five psychological factors as well as the physiological ones.

The new expanded BREAD formula contains the following ten paired parts: Belief system and Breathe properly, Relationships and Relaxation, Education and Exercise, Attitude and Activity, Determination and Diet. Take time to develop your personal program of reducing stress. It will help you feel better and likely help you live longer and happier.
