Criticizing Money Management Styles
All too often individuals feel that money is a taboo subject. People have the tendency to get defensive when being criticized about how they have handled a certain financial transaction, and shut down the ability to hear beyond the criticism itself.
Blaming and shaming others for our own financial problems may be a natural reaction , but neither practice accomplishes anything positive.
Focus your attention into finding a solution rather than figuring out who is at fault. When individuals do make a financial mistake, their first reaction may be to fix the mistake.
If we do not let family members work through their financial problems, they may always remain dependent. At some point in everyones life, they have to learn to live with the consequences of their own financial behavior.
