Too busy? Shift your attitude

Too busy to enjoy life? These days who among us doesn’t suffer from timesickness, that nerve-racking feeling that life has become more than an endless to-do list? The conventional solution to timesickness is time management. Even with all the calendars, software, and books about time management, we still seem to be caught in the time trap.

Would you like to reduce stress, enjoy yourself more and stop feeling like life is passing you by? Forget being more efficient. Find time for what matters. This shift in attitude will get you a whole lot more. If you feel you are always a step behind because you are thinking of all that needs to be done, focus intently on whatever you’re doing at any given time. If you feel you are stuck in high gear, look around for something moving at a saner pace and try to mimic its rhythm. Soothing music is a great model, as are pets, rustling leaves, creeks, or an easy-going companion.
