Life Lessons from Leonardo Da Vinci

As children, we were all relentlessly curious. Leonardo da Vinci never stopped asking questions. His example can inspire and teach us how to think creatively, tap our potential to the fullest and lead well balanced lives.

1. Sharpen your senses. Leonardo had amazing powers of sight and hearing, and surrounded himself with sensual stimulation. Use your senses more consciously by comparing the taste of foods, spending time in silence, taking a trip to an art museum.

2. Count the number of times in a day you use the words "always, never, certainly, must". Substitute could or possibly for these words.

3. Evaluate your fitness program. Is it balanced to include aerobic fitness, strength training and stretching.

4. Reflect on the origins of things from everyday life. Thinking about all the elements, actions and people that went into creating it develops a sense of appreciation for the creativity and hard work that go into the process.
