Its the thought that counts. At least thats what weve always been told. Sometimes it seems, though, that the process of holiday gift shopping and giving is stripped of all sentiment. It becomes a dreaded ritual performed by human robots. Is there a way out of the rut? Yes! Try some of these strategies to help make your holiday shopping more enjoyable.
Shop with a good friend.
Go to your favorite shops. Knowing where your money goes makes it easier to part with.
Gather gifts when you travel.
Try purchasing a series of lessons or a membership for a friend.
Give a gift that you can add to in future years.
Dont create the need to express an entire years worth of affection in one gift. By showing family and friends you care all year long, you will feel less of a need to prove it during the holidays.
