Development Society (CDS)
CDS is the professional association for community development
practitioners and citizen leaders around the world. CDS invites
community development practitioners, researchers, policy makers, and
citizen leaders from around the world to its annual conference
CDS Missouri Chapter (MoCDS)
MoCDS promotes good practice and effectiveness among community
development practitioners in Missouri, and serves as an advocate for
public policy and practices that enable citizens and communities to
take charge of their futures.

This electronic journal is the peer-reviewed publication
of the Cooperative Extension System to expand and update the research
and knowledge base of Extension professionals and other adult educators.

(UECRDA)
UECRDA
is a vehicle for representation, support, recognition, and professional

within University Outreach and Extension.

Center for Agricultural, Resource and Environmental Systems (CARES)
CARES is a research and education center that provides outreach for helping people better understand and address agricultural, natural resource and environmental issues using knowledge and information technologies. The CARES Map Room assist users with map and data needs.
Community Policy Analysis Center (CPAC)
CPAC provides research, outreach, and training to support improved policy decisions in Missouri communities. CPAC develops community decision support tools for use in Missouri.
Fire and Rescue Training Institute (FRTI)
FRTI provides training and outreach to meet the needs of emergency services personnel and communities in areas of emergency medical services, emergency management, counter-terrorism, and industrial and hazardous wastes.
MU Department of Rural Sociology
Rural Sociology faculty and graduate students conduct research
on issues of relevance to Missouri communities, agriculture, food
systems, and the environment. A number of the faculty have worked
as community development resource professionals at local, state, national
and international levels.
Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis
(OSEDA)
OSEDA informs community leaders and citizens about social and economic trends impacting the state of Missouri. The website gives users access to information about public policy issues, regional profiles, and Census data.
Public Policy Research Center (PPRC)
PPRC at the University of Missouri-St. Louis focuses on research, neighborhood and community development, and metropolitan information and data analysis services for the bi-state and St. Louis region.

Central Regional Center for Rural Development (NCRCRD)
NCRCRD,
based at Iowa State University, initiates and facilitates rural development
research and education programs in collaboration with land-grant universities
and Extension in the North Central region to improve the social and
economic well-being of rural people.
Cooperative State Research, Education, and
Extension Service (CSREES)
CSREES
is the entity of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture that provides leadership
and administration of programs advancing knowledge of agriculture,
the environment, human health and well-being, and communities through
Extension and the university system.
