Participant Selection
Applications are invited from community members, community leaders
and professionals beginning September 8, 2004. Applications
and two letters of support must be received by 5:00 p.m. on
October 8, 2004 at the following address:

Application review process
A
review committee will select 14 applicants to participate in the
2005 study tour.
Dates
for the 2005 study trip are:

Departure January 28th, 2005 from St. Louis and arrive
Bangkok late evening January 29.
·
Depart
Bangkok Friday, February 11 and returning to St. Louis early evening
on Friday, February 11, 2005 (No, not a typo! You cross the
International Date Line.)

Education 2004-2005 Study Tour
Efforts
are made to include representatives from:

community and neighborhood organizations
·
the
business sector
·
government
·
non-profit organizations
·
education
·
media
·
religious institutions
Applicants will be selected based on the following:
-
plans to use the information learn on return to Missouri
-
current work in the areas covered by the objectives
-
experience in hosting Thai visitors who visited Missouri with
past GLE programs
-
willingness, in the future, to host Thaïs who visit Missouri as
part of this program
-
not
having participated in other GLE programs
University Extension personnel must have three years of service and
an expectation for continuation in their career. Participants will
also be selected to enhance the diversity of the group by gender,
race, occupation, point of view, economics geographic area, etc.
