The newly refurbished Elms Resort and Spa uniquely blends yesterday with today. Participants will experience the charm of a historic retreat plus the amenities of a contemporary hotel. The Elms is situated on 16.1 acres of rolling hills above the Fishing River in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, 30 minutes from Kansas City. The Elms Resort and Spa was originally built in 1888 as a luxury resort featuring mineral waters believed to possess healing powers. In its restored state, it offers a unique, pastoral setting in which to enjoy the ultimate in lodging comforts while participating in the Community Development Academy.
