Position Summary |
University of Missouri Extension Regional Specialist provide leadership and expertise to the local community with the assigned counties with research-based education and information. Specialists work side-by-side with local people to solve problems, make decisions, access resources and chart a course for success. Work closely with County Councils, program partners, volunteers, and other professionals to provide programmatic leadership to diverse audiences with diverse needs. Create linkages with University of Missouri campuses, Lincoln University, and other partners and funding stakeholders to plan, implement, and evaluate priority programs. May provide supervision and leadership to associates within surrounding counties. |
Qualifications |
Minimum Qualifications: Earned Master's
degree in human development and family studies, early childhood
education, social work, or a related area with appropriate coursework.
Professional experience in applying and transferring research-based knowledge in parenting, parent-child relations, adolescent sexuality, pregnancy, and parenting, and early childhood care and education. Experience with adult education is preferred. Ability to travel and to work flexible hours including evenings and
weekends. |
