REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES FOR STATE 4-H COUNCIL
Applications are available at the Extension Office and are due back into
the Extension Office by Monday Feb. 7 . There are 4
representatives chosen from the Southeast Region to serve a one year
term on the State 4-H Council. The duties of the Regional Rep. would be
to attend four State Council meetings in Columbia and to assist
with the planning & presentations at Teen Conference and 4-H Congress.
Call Donna Taake at #243-3581 for more information or contact Tyler
Lappe or Dustin Oehl who are currently serving as two of the four
Southeast Region Representatives on the 4-H State Council. If you are
looking for an opportunity to “expand your leadership skills” - this is
it!! (Did I mention how much fun it is??) Elections for the State
Council Representatives are held at State 4-H Congress in Columbia June
1 - 3.
YOU MUST BE
AGE 14 AND OLDER TO APPLY.
4-H SCHOLARSHIPS: THE DEADLINE TO THE STATE 4-H OFFICE IS APRIL 1. You will need to use your “Missouri 4-H Recognition Form for Statewide Experiences” report form for 4-Hers age 14 + as part of the application so if you have already submitted a Report Form this fall you simply need to “add” the financial portion of the application and make some minor additions to your Report Form. The Report Form and the Scholarship Form are very similar. Contact the Extension office for the necessary forms or check the Cape County 4-H website. CLUB LEADERS if you know a previous 4-H member from your club that would be eligible for these scholarships please help me to spread the word to them also. You may apply more than once for this scholarship and you may apply as a Sophomore or Junior in college.
