Trap set up with 2003 lure.
The black cutworm trap is located one mile west of the Callaway County MU Extension Center.
Moth captures are usually associated with storms or weather systems moving through the area. Black cutworm moths "catch" rides north on the upper level winds associated with these weather systems.
Predictions on the date of occurrence can be made from these moth captures. These predictions are not accurate on numbers or severity of damage from the occurrences, only timing of probable larval feeding.
Trap set up with 2003 lure.
Trap is located one mile west of the Callaway County MU Extension Center.
