Description:
The Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) Program is for middle-aged and older adults who want to improve quality of life and stay active. Instructors have been trained by University of Missouri fitness staff to lead this program. These exercises are easy to learn, safe and effective. Program exercises are low-impact and can be done seated or standing. This program is NOT for people who regularly exercise or are experienced in strength training.
Over ten weeks you will increase your strength and improve your balance. After the ten weeks are over you can continue the simple strength training program with a group at your center. Weights will be available on site and trained staff and volunteers will help you learn and do these exercises safely.
