OSHA Recordkeeping Training

Description:

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently initiated a national emphasis program (NEP) on recordkeeping to assess the accuracy of injury and illness data recorded by employers. To assist local businesses in complying with these requirements, the University of Missouri Madison County Extension and the local SBTDC will sponsor a seminar focused on proper recording and reporting of injuries and illnesses.

Session topic:

Topics covered: Recording Criteria & New Interpretations; Importance of Accurate Recordkeeping; What Industries/Businesses are Exempt?; Difference Between First Aid & Medical Treatment; Dangers of Over-Recording; Specific Real-World Examples.
