Description:
Land leases are an important aspect farm management. About one-third of Missouri agricultural land is farmed under lease agreements. While the use of leases is widespread, there are many questions among landlords and tenants about the fairness and legality of lease contracts. What provisions should be included in a land lease? What types of rental arrangements work for both landowners and tenants? How can tenants and landlords share in the risks and rewards of farming? These questions and more will be addressed in an upcoming MU Extension seminar to be held November 14th. The Agricultural Land Leases Seminar will be held at the Platte County Resource Center from 6 to 8 pm.
