    Understanding Certified Naturally Grown

    Description:

    Workshop sponsored by Springfield Community Gardens. Certified Naturally Grown is a viable option for farmers and gardeners with an interest in organic production. The program emphasizes soil health, naturally available farming inputs, non-chemical pest management, maintaining habitat for beneficials and pollinators, and sustainable farming/gardening practices. The class will conduct an actual CNG inspection exercise. Instructors are Patrick Byers (MU Extension) and Kevin Prather (Springfield Community Gardens).
