    Elevate: Republic Middle School After School Program (Session 3 of 13)

    When:

    Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Where:

    526 E Harrison St, Republic MO map...

    Description:

    This after school program is a partnership of individuals and organizations to provide a secular after school program for middle school students offsite that enhances their education and helps reduce after school problems when students have no where to go.

    A variety of programs ranging from cooking classes and cross stitch to gardening and leadership classes will be offered. An snack is also included.

    MU Extension faculty and staff collaborate with partners to address youth and family issues in the community as well as working with impacted businesses. Specifically targeting the middle school population.

    Session topic:

    Elevate afterschool classes launch this day. Classes offered include: Woodworking 101 - Kyle Wells Cross Stitching - Jodi Loch Hair/Makeup 101 - Anna Raus & Dez Cooking Classes - Kelsa and MU Extension Leadership Classes - David Burton with other leaders Ambassadors for Mayor - Jeff Ussery/David Burton Sports 101 - Parks and Rec. Photography 101 - Kailea Leal Fitness Classes Painting Classes Tutoring

    Registration:

    Registration will take place in person on Sept. 4 but students can join the program any time afterward.
