    Description:

    Being a leader means having the desire to make a difference and having the will to get the job done. Do you want to make a meaningful contribution and be involved in exciting work that inspires and empowers others to lead? The Missouri Training Institute Leadership Series, under the direction of University of Missouri Extension, offers top-notch training for managers and leaders in all industries including government, for-profit and non-profit organizations.

    Session topic:

    Emotional Intelligence Today’s organizations place a great deal of emphasis on personal responsibility: they are looking for ‘turn-key’ employees. Managing yourself effectively and working productively with others is critical to you, your professional success, and the success of your organization. In this workshop, you will begin to understand appropriate behaviors that will help you gain credibility and improve your reputation in a work environment. What You Will Learn: • Why emotional intelligence is essential to the workplace. • How we rely on emotional intelligence and it’s components. • How emotional intelligence can enhance or hinder performance.
