Management Intensive Grazing School at MU Wurdack Farm

Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, 8 a.m. to Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, 4 p.m.

Where:

Description:

This 3-day school teaches livestock producers how to better manage their farms forage resources through management intensive grazing. Topics include: Understanding your farm's resources; Soils and soil fertility; Forage species and plant growth; Livestock nutrition, requirements, and matching livestock to forages; Fence and Watering systems; Grazing Economics; Extending the grazing season; Pasture weed and brush control. Additionally farm tours and field exercises are held to provide participants with hands-on learning activities.
