If you have type 2 diabetes or have a family member with diabetes, this class will help you gain knowledge and skills for managing it. Learn how to avoid short-term and long-term complications. You will sample two diabetes-friendly recipes each week. Participants will receive a recipe booklet and handouts for further reading.
This class focuses on healthy eating for the person with diabetes or pre-diabetes. We will discuss the foods that contain carbohydrates and how to use the plate method in planning meals.
