A strength training program for middle-aged and older adults. The programs goal is to improve health and quality of life. Exercise sessions to improve strength and balance include warm-up exercises, strengthening exercises and cool-down stretches. An orientation and pre-assessment precede nine weeks of exercise sessions, and the program concludes with a post-assessment.
