The MU Extension Center of Benton County is hosting an educational meeting for farm property owners and lessors to learn more about how to develop lease agreements.
The meeting will be held Thursday evening, February 20th, 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the MU Extension Center meeting room in Warsaw.
Brent Carpenter, MU ag business specialist will discuss customary farm leases, trends in land values and cash rents, items to consider in a lease, balancing share leases for crops and livestock, and how to terminate a lease.
There is a cost recovery fee of $20 per person or $30 per farm entity. Attendees will receive a packet of reference materials.
