Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center
2400 S Scenic Ave, Springfield MO map...
Missouri law requires all purchasers and users of restricted-use pesticides to attend a training session to be certified for a private applicators license. This 3 hour training (with an instructor) will allow individuals to recertify or receive initial training to be licensed to purchase or use restricted-use pesticides for five years. The private applicator license is for your personal use only. You must also be a producer of some kind of agricultural commodity (pasture, hay, corn, etc.) You may not use this license for any kind of employment where you apply the restricted chemicals to structures or land. Participants will be required to purchase the Private Pesticide Applicator Reference Manual which is included in the $15 fee.
