Nutrition Training for Child Care Providers
Tuesday, April 30, 2013, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Phelps County Courthouse Multipurpose Room

Two sessions will be presented including:
"Eating Well - Basic Nutrition for Kids and for You" will give an overview of basic nutrition facts and introduce MyPlate as a tool for choosing healthy foods.
"Childhood Obesity and Missouri's Eat Smart Guidelines for Child Care" will discuss the current childhood obesity epidemic and how it relates to child care. It will also introduce the Missouri Eat Smart Child Care initiative as a way to improve child care meals.
Child care providers attending this program will receive two clock-hours if they have not previously attended these sessions.
