Focus on Kids, developed by the University of Missouri, is a court-approved educational program for parents with minor children, who are seeking divorce, legal separation, motion to modify, annulment or paternity. The educational session will increase awareness of the effects marriage dissolution and/or custody has on children.
Focus on Kids is for parents to better understand how divorce affects children, and how their actions during and after the divorce can have long-term affects on the children involved.
Registration is required for each parent — registration at the door will not be accepted. A $35 per-person fee, payable by cash or money order to the Circuit Clerk, is required when you register. The class fee is non-refundable. To register: Go to the Montgomery Circuit Clerk’s office. For directions call: 573-564-3341.
If you are unable to attend the class, you must give 24-hour notice by calling the St. Charles County Extension Office 636-970-3000 or you will have to pay the registration fee again.
