Fall Prevention Class for older adults. Eight session class that meets weekly for two hours.
Session topic:
Recognize three important physical risk factors for falling (low blood pressure, leg weakness, poor flexibility and balance). Understand exercises that can effect these risk factors. Learn how assertive behavior can help prevent falls.

A strength training program for middle-aged and older adults. The programs goal is to improve health and quality of life. Managing the drought of 2012

This meeting will provide farmers with information to manage the impact of the drought of 2012. University of Missouri Extension specialists will discuss cover crops, emergency forage options, herbicide and nutrient carryover issues, stretching the hay supply, nitrate, prussic acid and aflatoxin and alternative feeding strategies. Farm Service Agency representatives will discuss Emergency Conservation Programs and the Emergency Loan Program. Natural Resources Conservation Service representatives will talk about programs offered through NRCS and the Soil and Water Conservation District.
Session topic:
Managing the drought of 2012 will provide farmers with information to manage the impact of the drought. Forage, crop and livestock issues will be addressed by University of Missouri Extension Specialists. Farm programs will also be addressed.
