Description:

The Summer Entrepreneur Boot Camp is an intensive weeklong community of sharing best practices and essential business knowledge. The SBTDC & REDI have teamed up to call on thought leaders across the community to share their knowledge through focused sessions in areas we find key to long-term success. This week is about entrepreneurship, it doesn't matter if you don't have an idea yet or you've been in business for 20 years, there is something for you to learn and grow. The event is free, register online once, and attend whichever sessions you think are most valuable. Please remember the Columbia SBTDC is always available for no-fee 1 to 1 counseling and has many tools to help growing companies.

Description:

This workshop is for parents currently going through a divorce or motion to modify. Current research about the five top strategies to assist your children through the divorce process will be presented. Six video clips will be viewed and discussed, critiquing what the parents in the vignettes did well, and not so well. The session will conclude with an evaluation of the program.

Focus on Kids is a workshop for divorcing parents. This month 2 women and 5 men attended the class. Research is presented, parenting plan is reviewed and six video clips are viewed and processed. The session closes with evaluation.

Household Hazardous Wastes Presentation

Almost every home contains hazardous products. They are used in cleaning, home improvement projects, automobile maintenance, lawn and garden care, and variety of other tasks. In order to protect our heath and the environment, we must know how to properly use, store and dispose of these products. A grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources through an Ozark Rivers Solid Waste Management District grant program to the Meramec Regional Planning Commission and the Cities of St. Robert and Rolla will bring such information to share with you. Residents in the Ozark Rivers district which includes Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Maries, Phelps, Pulaski and Washington Counties can drop off their HHW materials by appointment at no charge at the City of Rolla Recycling Center and the St. Robert Recycling Center. The Cities of Rolla and St. Robert operate the drop off centers for the district and the district grant pays for disposal cost of the HHW. More details on the program will be shared at the presentation session”.
