Low Cost, No Cost Energy Savers helps participants identify home weatherization issues and wasteful home energy consumption, while offering inexpensive solutions that they can pursue immediately. Emphasis is placed on determining the aspects that the can have the greatest impact for the least investment and effort. Participants that make these 'do-it-yourself' improvements and adopt the suggested energy saving techniques can save from $20 to $50 per month on their utility bills.
Session topic:
This is a Life Skills program offering for OACAC clients. In this session, MU Extension handouts, presentation and demonstrations are combined with two video segments from the film "Kilowatt Ours" to teach weatherization and home energy conservation.

This Low Cost, No Cost Energy Savers Life-Skills program is limited to OACAC clients.

2012 2013 Knox County 4-H Council (Session 7 of 8)

The Knox County 4-H Council is a policy-making body, which has the responsibility for guiding, promoting and implementing the 4-H program. The Council is responsible for approving the curriculum offered within the county. It also plans, budgets, coordinates, and manages the many educational events which are part of the curriculum. If financial resources are needed the council is responsible for developing these resources. Program and leadership development is also the councils responsibility. The Knox County 4-H Council meets the second Tuesday during the months of: September, November, January, March, May, and July. Special council meetings may be called when necessary. Each 4-H Club is made up of two voting representatives from each club in the county.
