3 day 2 night camp at Lake Wappapello. For ages 8-18. Cost is $50 for ages 8-13 and $20 for counselors ages 14-18. To register please call your local Extension office.

Garden n' Grow is a youth garden program for kids ages 8-13. Youth will grow a vegetable garden and learn the responsibility of caring for it. They will also have lessons on various horticulture topics and learn how to prepare and/or cook their fresh vegetables. The youth will take home the vegetables they harvest
We will work in the garden and make vegetable pizza.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is 20 classes over 10 weeks strength training program for adults 60 years and older. The program’s goal is to improve health and quality of life. The program incorporates warm-up exercises, strengthening exercises, and cool down stretches. Over the ten weeks participants learn exercises to improve strength and balance. The class meets twice weekly and all equipment is provided.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (Session 5 of 10)

A ten week course for people age 50 and older. The attendees will participate in exercises to improve their strength, balance, and flexability.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is an eleven week program for middle-aged and older adults. The program's goal is to improve health and quality of life. We will be incorporating: warm-up exercises, simple strengthening exercises (with or without weights), and cool down stretches. Strength training can benefit you in many ways: Arthritis relief, improve balance, enhance flexibility, strengthen bones, weight control, lifts depression, stress reduction, reduce risks for heart disease, maintain healthy blood sugar levels, etc.

The goal of this program is to build on the fitness base acquired from the Stay Strong, Stay Healthy program by adding new, more complex upper and lower body strength-training exercises, core exercises, balance movements, and stretches.

Healthy Lifestyle Initiative (Session 8 of 9)

This program will focus on issues involving becoming over weight and obese. Safe ways to lose weight on a non medically supervised program. Techniques to control over eating and safe exercise programs will be the primarey topics. A walking session will be included with most sessions. The Warren County Health Department will be partnering in the program.
Each session will discuss a different technique to aid in personal weight control. Exercise and food intake will be discussed at each session. An opportunity to weigh and exercise will be available at all class meetings. Staying positive.
