Description:

It is an opportunity for personal growth and development of the young person who participates. As the youth participants learn to do and do to learn, we provide opportunities for young people to develop character, learn to share, cooperate and develop life skills. – web description.

Session topic:

The fair consists of a variety of shows that will be evaluated by a judge, allowing the youth to receive knowledge on how to improve their livestock. Another part is self-evaluation judging that takes place with inside exhibits.

Expanding 4-H Youth Development for Full Access-Craft Day

Description:

On July 28, 2012 the University of Missouri Extension along with People’s Community Bank, Sonic, Subway, Naylor Quick Connection and Town and Country Supermarket will host a craft day. There will be four different stations for youth to create crafts to enter into the Ripley County Fair. 4-H Craft Day is eligible for youth ages 5-18. This is a free day and lunch will be provided. 4-H Craft Day will be held at the Doniphan Ripley County Fairgrounds in the 4-H Building from 9am-1pm on Hwy 142 Doniphan, MO 63935.
