Pike County Youth Fair (Session 4 of 4)

Description:

It is an opportunity for personal growth and development of the young person who participates. As the youth participants learn to do and do to learn, we provide opportunities for young people to develop character, learn to share, cooperate and develop life skills. – web description.

Session topic:

The fair consists of a variety of shows that will be evaluated by a judge, allowing the youth to receive knowledge on how to improve their livestock. Another part is self-evaluation judging that takes place with inside exhibits.

Participants will preserve food through the water bath and pressure canning and freezing methods. There will be two sessions. Attendance is not required for both but encouraged.
