Franklin County 4-H entered a partnership with Grafton County, New Hampshire for a tw0-year 4-H Interstate Exchange. Franklin County teens and adult advisors will travel to New Hampshire in the summer of 2014 to stay with Grafton County 4-H families, and in the summer of 2015, Grafton County teens and adults will come to Franklin County.

Description:
Franklin County 4-H enters into a 2 year agreement with a county in another state for an exchange of teens and volunteers. One year Franklin County teens and adult advisors travel to spend a week in homes of members from the partner county, and in the other year the Franklin County members host teens and adult advisors for a week in Franklin County.
Teens assist in choosing the partner county, planning and conducting fundraisers to supplement travel and hosting expenses, design exchange t-shirts, plan hosting activities, prepare a hosting notebook, and work with adults to plan and coordinate all events.

The goal of the Advanced SSSH program is to increase on the fitness base acquired from SSSH by adding new and more challenging exercises. Advanced SSSH is designed to challenge older adults in new and different ways, to help avoid staleness and plateaus, and to improve activities of daily living. This program features exercises using resistance from body weight, hand weights, and ankle weights. It also features balance exercises, core exercises, low back exercises, and flexibility exercises.

Class members will warm-up, complete 2 sets of a series of 9-10 exercises and then cool down.
