ConnectCASS, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is made up of an executive director, a governing board of directors, and members of the community who have united to bridge leadership gaps while addressing the whole health of the county.
Our mission is grounded in these guiding principles:
We believe in the ability of all Cass communities to unite to make the County a healthy place to live and prosper.
We view health broadly and accept the World Health Organization's definition that health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
We believe in promoting health and wellness, and the importance of preventing injury, illness and disease.
We believe that every person should live in a community that allows him or her to be healthy. We will make extra efforts to ensure that underserved and disenfranchised individuals and groups have equal opportunities.
We believe that in order for the community of Cass County to be truly healthy, change efforts must focus on long-term, systematic solutions.

Where:
Grain Valley Community Center
Description:
“Learning by Doing” is the basis of 4-H work, and each year thousands of young Missourians between the ages of 5 and 18 do just that. 4-H members make the items displayed at the Jackson County 4-H Fair or raise and train the animals on display. The Jackson County 4-H Fair provides a showcase for the skills and knowledge that 4-H members have gained through their 4-H experiences.
Besides developing practical skills and knowledge, 4-H members are developing life skills. Under the leadership of volunteer leaders, members learn to make sound decisions, work cooperatively in groups and develop a sense of self-worth and accomplishment. 4-H also fosters leadership, as older youth share their talents with younger 4-H members.
We salute all Jackson County 4-H members, volunteers and families, and particularly those whose “learning by doing” experiences are represented at this Jackson County 4-H Fair and hopefully, ultimately the Missouri State Fair.
