4-H Outdoor Adventure (Float Trip)

When:  Wednesday, June 26, 2013, 8 a.m. to Friday, June 28, 2013, 6 p.m.

Where:  
Niangua River

Description:

Teen Outdoor Adventure - Ages 13 and up - On June 26-28, we will journey to the Niangua River in south Missouri. Activities will include float trip, spelunking, hiking, and...PAINTBALL!!!  $150 includes transportation (we will take a charter bus if we have enough sign up), most food, raft, t-shirt, and camping fees/tent.  Applications will be accepted until we’re full or June 5th, so don’t delay! Cooking Matters (Session 6 of 6)

Description:

Cooking Matters is a culinary-based nutrition education program that aims at reducing food insecurity and empowering individuals and families with skills to cook at home.

Session topic:

Two hours include: engaging Nutrition & food safety discussions and food preparation. Participants make two recipes and enjoy eating together and discussing skills learned in class. Participants also take home groceries to make one of the recipe at home

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy - Bethany Jan-Mar, 2013 (Session 11 of 12)

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is a ten week strength training program for middle-aged and older adults. The program’s goal is to improve health and quality of life.

We will incorporate warm-up exercises; simple strengthening exercises, with or without weights; and cool down stretches. Weights are provided for the class. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring water bottle and towel.
