2017 Master Gardener Level I (Session 4 of 12)

Jefferson College, Student Center - Viking Room, 1000 Viking Drive, Hillsboro MO
The Master Gardener program provides in depth horticultural training to individuals throughout Missouri who then volunteer their time applying what they have learned to help others in their communities to learn about gardening and environmental education. To become trained as a Master Gardener, an individual must attend a 30 hour classroom Core Course training. Then the Master Gardener trainee is required to give 30 hours of volunteer service back to their community in approved University of Missouri Extension activities.
Potting Shed University (Session 7 of 7)
When: Monday, April 24, 2017, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The 2017 Potting Shed University is a series of 7 classes hosted by the Master Gardeners of Greene County that cover a variety of gardening related topics. All classes are from 6-7 pm and are designed to be fun, laid-back and educational. All classes will be held inside the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center located at the beautiful Springfield Botanical Gardens at 2400 S. Scenic Ave. Springfield, MO 65807. more...

All classes are $5 per person. Participants may preregister in the gift shop at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center or pay at the door the night of class.

A Matter of Balance (Session 8 of 8)
When: Monday, April 24, 2017, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The eight-session Matter of Balance series helps participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable. If you share these concerns and are interested in improving flexibility, balance and strength, this class is for you.

Minimum of 8 registrations required for classes to be held.
Cost: $25 includes all materials.

Mental Health First Aid

The Adult Mental Health First Aid class will be presented to Peer Specialists at Mission Missouri in Sikeston
Stay Strong, Stay Healthy-Pulaski County (Session 11 of 16)
When: Monday, April 24, 2017, 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.
A strength training program for middle-aged and older adults. The programs goal is to improve health and quality of life. Exercise sessions to improve strength and balance include warm-up exercises, strengthening exercises and cool-down stretches.
8 week class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Waynesville Senior Center in Waynesville, MO Register with the MU Extension Center in Pulaski County at 573-774-6177. Preregister is required and a physician's release for those age 69 and over.

Warren County Extension Council - Creating Complex Environments for Positive Youth Development (Session 10 of 12)

Extension Council meeting.
The MU Extension council of Warren County meets at 7:00 PM on the 4th Monday of each month unless announced in advance.
If a federal holiday falls on the 4th Monday of the month the meeting will be rescheduled and announced 1 month in advance.
The meetings are held at the Extension Center in Warren County, 107 W. Walton, Warrenton, MO 63383
