CLOVER  KID DAY CAMP, 2018

Platte Co. 4-H youth that are enrolled as a Clover Kid and youth member ages 8 or 9 are invited to attend. Participants engaged activities that will encourage cognitive (thinking) and academic development, physical development, and social-emotional development. Activities lead by 4-H Council and Jr. Leaders. More information to come.

Focus On Kids

Description:

Helps divorced and separated parents learn how to support their children through the divorce process and how to work together in co-parenting their children.  Focus on Kids satisfies the Missouri law that requires parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify the original divorce decree, or who have never been married but have filed a child custody case, to attend an educational parenting program.


Session topic:

Focus on Kids is the 20th Circuit Court mandated for parents involved in custody cases where minor age children are involved.

Taking Care of You (Session 1 of 4)

Description:

Taking Care of You is a University of Missouri Extension program that offers practical strategies for dealing with stress and life challenges. Developed by an interdisciplinary MU Extension team, the research-based program focuses on positive psychology and mindfulness in sessions held over four weeks. Participants learn concepts and practical strategies they can incorporate into their everyday lives through small group discussion, self-reflection and group activities. The program teaches ways to take care of body, mind and spirit health, become more aware of the mind-body connection, and how to use this awareness for better health, respond rather than react to life's stressors, discover opportunities in life's challenges, develop habits that can lead to better health, find ways to bring more joy into life, simplify life and live more in the moment.
