You do need to make an appointment. You can make your appointment by calling your local University of Missouri Extension Center or call the Andrew County Extension Center at 816.324.3147, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or you can leave a message and Kathy or Rebecca will return your call. Bring picture IDs for all adults, Social Security cards for everyone you are claiming, W-2s, 1099s, etc. It is also a good idea to bring anything you receive in the mail that indicates it is tax related and a copy of your last years’ tax return.

Conflict between parents, both before and after a divorce, is associated with many negative outcomes in children. The purpose of this workshop is to help parents learn how to nurture and support their children during and after their divorce.
Focus on Kids satisfies the Missouri law that requires parents who are divorcing to attend an educational parenting program. It is conducted in cooperation with Missouri’s circuit courts.

The Master Gardener program provides in depth horticultural training to individuals throughout Missouri. Those trained through the program volunteer their time applying what they have learned to help others in their communities to learn about gardening. To become trained as a Master Gardener, an individual must attend a 30 hour Core Course Training. Then the Master Gardener trainee is required to give 30 hours of volunteer service back in approved University of Missouri Extension activities. A large percentage of volunteer hours is dedicated to providing assistance with the heavy workload of horticulture questions in county Extension offices. Through activities such as Extension hot lines, workshops, speakers bureaus, garden show booths and demonstration projects, Master Gardeners provide gardening information to thousands of Missourians each year.

Description:
Johnson County large animal livestock shows (beef, sheep, swine, dairy, lead line, goat, horse, auction, carcass contest,jackpot show); weigh-ins for beef, sheep, goats, and swine; and committee meetings. Also includes the small animal committee meetings and small animal shows (rabbit, poultry, dog, cat, buck calf).
