The Western Farm Show is at the heart of agriculture and as the Midwest's premier indoor farm show, this is definitely the place to be. The Family Living Center features crafts, home improvement ideas and all the supplies you need to make a house a home.

A Matter of Balance is an award winning program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase the activity levels of older adults who have concerns about falls.
Practice assertive skills in locating and using resources to prevent falls. Review class materials and behaviors and changes to environment that have helped to prevent falls as a result of participating in Matter of Balance class.

Advanced Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (Session 6 of 11)

The Advanced class is for those who have completed a Stay Strong, Stay Healthy class or have been strength training regularly for six months or longer. The advanced class includes more complex upper and lower body strengthening exercises, core body exercises, and balance movements.

Cooking Matters (Session 6 of 6)

Cooking Matters courses help families with limited resources make healthy meals at home, using a wide variety of foods that are commonly available in their grocery stores, in WIC packages and from emergency food providers such as food pantries. Course instructors teach cooking skills, practical nutrition information and food budgeting strategies that will last a lifetime.

Adults participating in Cooking Matters will learn basic cooking techniques as they prepare two dishes in each of the six classes. Each week there is also a nutrition education lesson that includes information on how to make the most of your food dollar, reading food labels and planning menus. Participant take home ingredients for one of the recipes each week.
participants will discuss the importance of a healthy breakfast and how to plan for a healthy breakfast on the run. Cooking with herbs and spices will be discussed. Participants will practice planning menus.
