FastTrac® participants don't just learn about business, they work on their own business endeavors throughout the course. This program is fast-paced and energizing, using guest speakers and lots of group breakout activities.

Beginning Beekeeping Course
The University of Missouri Extension is offering a Beginning Beekeeping class. This three part introduction to beekeeping will feature the video “Honey Bees and Beekeeping: A Year in The Life of an Apiary” by University of Georgia Extension entomologist Dr. Keith Delaplane. We will also cover required equipment, sources of bees, and how and when to start your own hives. On the last night of the course, Monty Wiens of the South Central Missouri Beekeepers Association will join us to share his expertise and answer questions. The class will meet at the Howell County Extension Office from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following dates: Tuesday Feb. 12, Tuesday Feb. 19, and Thursday Feb. 21.
The cost of the course is $55, and will include a book on beekeeping. Youth under 18 may attend the course free of charge, and may purchase the book if desired. Participants must register by February 8th.
