365 days in a year, 40 hours in a work week, 24 hours in a day, deadlines, vacation time, holidays – I’m supposed to manage all of this? Impossible! Time is the one commodity we cannot renew. We cannot add more to our day; cannot slow down the sun or rewind to redo time. We have what we have and we have to make the best of it.
This workshop looks at the many devices available today and offers a broader understanding as to why each of us needs to find the best method(s) to manage the busy, limited, fast-pace time we do have.
Bring what you are now using for show-n-tell. If computer based, then bring a hard copy as an example. Our goal will be, not to find you more time, but to better manage the time you have. more...

51 Route H, Greenfield MO map...
Description:
One of the best ways to keep your body and mind functioning at its best is to exercise. Regular exercise improves physical, emotional and mental health. Participation in regular strengthening exercises will help you to build muscle and increase bone density. This helps to prevent frailty and osteoporosis. These types of exercises are easy to learn, safe, and effective. People benefit from strength training in many ways. Some benefits people experience include arthritis relief, improved balance, enhanced flexibility, weight control, stress reduction, decreased depression, reduction in risk for heart disease and help with maintenance of healthy blood sugar levels.
The great thing about the Stay Strong Stay Healthy exercises is that most people can do them. They are great if you are 29 or 89 years old. You change the amount of weights you use to make it work for your individual needs. Many people report they can tell they have increased strength or flexibility after just three weeks of doing the exercises.
The Stay Strong, Stay Healthy program will be offered at St. Patrick’s Church, located a half a mile north on Route H, Greenfield. Classes will be held on Tuesday afternoons, September 29 thru December 8 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Class will not be held on October 6. The classes will be taught by Tammy Roberts, Nutrition and Health Education Specialist for University of Missouri Extension.
