Description:

In older adults, poor diet and lack of physical activity contribute to declining muscle mass and thinning of the bones. Without adequate muscle mass and bone strength, older adults are more prone to falls and are more likely to develop osteoporosis, which currently affects about 55 percent of people over age 50. In this group, falls are more likely to result in broken bones.

Estate Planning -- Who Gets Grandma's Yellow Pie Plate

This class helps people understand how property is titled and gives guidelines for dispersal of non-titled property. For example, who gets the special candy dish that Grandmas always had on her table during the holidays when she is gone? Or, who gets Uncle Joe's special deer hunting rifle? Some property has a title or deed so there are special ways to transfer those items, but other items have no legal document attached so someone has to make a decision.
