Midwest Winter Vegetable Production Fall Tour

Description:

The Midwest Winter Vegetable Production Fall Tour will visit 3 innovative farmers who are investigating the opportunities for fall and winter vegetable production. Tour attendees will visit high tunnel and greenhouse production of tomato, pepper, lettuce, specialty greens, and other vegetable crops. A variety of crop protection strategies will be discussed - high tunnels, low tunnels, row covers, and heating sources.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is an ten-week strength training program for middle-aged and older adults. The program’s goal is to improve health and quality of life. The class will meet twice a week.

We will incorporate warm-up exercises; simple strengthening exercises, with or without weights; and cool down stretches. Weights are provided for the class. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring water bottle and towel.
