    Description:

    State-mandated co-parenting class for divorcing and never married parents. Parents are reminded to be civil and business-like with each other for the sake of their children. Learning what is best for their children, the effects of conflict on their children and the importance of putting their children first are all goals of the face-to-face monthly program.

    Session topic:

    Focus on Kids is a co-parenting class for parents who are divorcing or never married and have a court case.

    UMSL Stay Strong, Stay Healthy - Fall 2016 (Session 13 of 16)

    Description:

    Missouri’s SSSH program is designed to increase aging adults’ access to a safe, structured and effective strength training program. Over 8 weeks, participants learn exercises to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. During each session, a prescribed set of 8 upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial to health. SSSH is modeled after the evidenced-based StrongWomen program developed by researchers at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science at Tufts University.
