In older adults, poor diet and lack of physical activity contribute to declining muscle mass and thinning of the bones. Without adequate muscle mass and bone strength, older adults are more prone to falls and are more likely to develop osteoporosis, which currently affects about 55 percent of people over age 50. In this group, falls are more likely to result in broken bones.

This live television program is intended to educate viewers on a wide range of topics related to gardening in the Ozarks. The KOLR10 meteorologist and others from KOLR10 television, Springfield, conduct the interview, which includes MU Extension horticulture specialists and others with gardening expertise. This introductory 3-hour seminar is an overview of the critical first steps associated with winning government contracts. The Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Center (MO PTAC) host a bi-monthly seminar on how to get started in the government contracting arena including federal, state and local government registrations and certifications. The seminar will also cover MO PTAC services available to assist Missouri businesses in all aspects of government contracting.

Focus on Kids, developed by the University of Missouri, is a court-approved educational program for parents with minor children, who are seeking divorce, legal separation, motion to modify, annulment or paternity. The educational session will increase awareness of the effects marriage dissolution and/or custody has on children.
Focus on Kids is for parents to better understand how divorce affects children, and how their actions during and after the divorce can have long-term affects on the children involved.
