Focus on Kids (Session 1 of 12)

Helps divorced and separated parents learn how to support their children through the divorce process and how to work together in co-parenting their children. Focus on Kids satisfies the Missouri law that requires parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify the original divorce decree, or who have never been married but have filed a child custody case, to attend an educational parenting program.

Shelby County Private Pesticide Applicator Training

Description:

This training meets the requirements for Ag producers needing to obtain or renew their private pesticide applicator license for purchase of restricted-use pesticides. The license is valid for five years and participants must be 18 or older to receive the license. Training will be given on safe and proper use of agricultural pesticides on farmland.

A Private Pesticide Applicator's Reference Manual (M87) is required to receive certification. The cost of the manual is $12. If you or an immediate family member already has a copy of the Reference Manual (2007 edition), please bring it to the training to waive the fee.

The Link Market- January Sessions (Session 1 of 2)

The Link Market is a small food kiosk or mini-grocery store located at the North Hanley and Wellston Metro Transit Centers. An 18-month pilot program, the Link Market, aims to provide grocery items and staples to people utilizing MetroLink and Bus in two particular low-food access areas.  MU Extension will be a key partner for the Link Market providing monthly nutrition education opportunities at both markets ensuring that customers know how-to and can prepare the food offered at the market.

2019 Franklin County 4-H Interstate Exchange (Session 3 of 3)

Description:

Missouri 4-H is about young people discovering their interests with the guidance of caring adults. It’s about young people making friends and memories in clubs or other groups while honing their knowledge, skills, attitudes and health to lead in a complex and changing world.



The interstate exchange is a two year partnerships between Franklin County and a county in another state.  In the two-year exchange each county hosts teens from the other county for one week, and travels to visit the other county. 



2019 is a hosting year for Franklin County 4-H. The County participants will host a delegation from Wayne County, New York in the summer of 2019

Third interstate exchange meeting to plan for the 2019 Exchange.

Franklin County 4-H Teens involved attend an orientation meeting and then commit to the program when enough details are available, usually by January of the 4-H Club year.
