Extension Council Online Election - Webster County

Citizens age 18 and over in Webster County, pursuant to the provisions of Sec. 262 577, R.S. MO 1969, will have an opportunity to vote for and elect members to the University of Missouri Extension Council. The elected and appointed members of the Extension Council will guide and direct Extension work within the county.

Southwest Regional Energizer: Bright & Bold

Description:

This is one of two regional energizers in the Southwest region. The Southwest Regional Energizer is designed to strengthen educational opportunities for volunteers and members on youth development, organizational operations, personal development, relevant subject matter, organizational leadership strategies and educational opportunities for volunteers related to organizational policies and procedures.

This event was cancelled due to inclement winter weather. There were 86 individuals pre-registered for this event.

Christian County Shooting Sports Training

When:  Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Description:

Christian County 4-H Shooting Sports REQUIRED Safety Training for 4-H members enrolled in a shooting sports project. All 4-H members enrolled in a shooting sports discipline/project MUST complete the safety training class to be permitted to shoot in the Christian County Shooting Sports projects. This helps the kids and parents/adults understand the rules of the range when shooting either firearms or bows and arrows.

I (Jennifer Hancock) secure the location, and purchase snacks and order lunch the day of the trainings. The class is taught by the certified shooting sports instructor from Christian County.

Urban West Region Jr Leaders Winter Retreat

MU Extension 4-H youth development faculty and staff collaborate with partners to address youth and family issues in the community. Rather than providing programs or services directly to an individual young person, the focus is upon influencing systems — people, programs, policies and services that impact the lives of young people and their families.
