    Rural Strong: SBA/USDA Rural Initiative Roundtable Event (Session 4 of 5)

    Description:

    The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) are hosting a series of roundtables and trainings to promote stronger businesses and agricultural economies in rural America.

    Under the Trump Administration’s Rural Initiative, SBA and USDA will enhance coordination and collaboration to improve investment opportunities in rural areas, identify ways to increase the benefits of the Tax Cuts and Job Act of 2017, improve innovation for rural technical assistance providers, and aid rural businesses in providing tools to export products around the world, among other goals.

    This event is an opportunity to learn from representatives of the SBA and USDA on how the Trump Administration’s Rural Initiative can benefit your local economy. Entrepreneurs, SBA lenders and resource partners are highly encouraged to attend. more...

    Farm, Family, & ME - Summit for Women

    When:  Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, 11:30 a.m. to Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, 1:30 p.m.

    Description:

    Farm, Family, & ME - Summit for Women is an educational conference for farm women. The two day conference consists of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities for women. The Summit is being partially grant funded from USDA.
    There is a registration fee of $70, and a $75 late registration fee. The location is Missouri Farm Bureau Building, 701 S. Country Club Dr., Jefferson City, MO. A block of rooms has been reserved at Comfort Suites, 4904 Country Club Drive, 573-636-0300, and Hampton Inn, 4800 Country Club Drive, 573-634-7440, both at the rate of $109. To get the reduced block rate, make hotel reservations by August 5 and mention MU Farm, Family, and Me.
